CHURCH CAMPOUT
FRIDAY, JULY 29 - SUNDAY, JULY 31

Parameters for KLCC campout/church service at end of Long Lake July 29-31:

1.      Fill up your gas tank and be prepared in case you get a flat tire.

2.      Long Lake is at Mile 45 of the McCarthy Road (left hand side).  Allow a couple of hours from Chitina to get there.  There are 2 roadside restroom facilities between Chitina and Long Lake; Kuskalana Bridge (bathroom is on the McCarthy side of the bridge) at Mile 17 and Gilahina Trestle at Mile 29.

3.      Park in designated areas, not on the airstrip.  A sign will be on the road indicating where to turn in.

4.      Take your canoe or row boat if you want to go boating or fishing on the lake and remember your life vests.

5.      No motorized recreational vehicles; i.e. ATVs, motorcycles, outboard motors for boats, etc.

6.      Include your favorite non-motorized recreation activities such as Frisbees, volleyball, football, books, knitting,  horseshoes, etc.  Saturday is just a fun day.

7.      Use the provided outhouse facilities rather than the woods.

8.      There is a dock and we are allowed to swim so bring your swimming attire.

9.      No food storage inside or near the sleeping tents.  There is a fire pit and a central eating area and we will keep our food coolers and storage lockers there.

10.  Saturday evening we will have a Mountain House Potluck.  Bring different mountain house meals to taste and enjoy. 

11.  Carry your own drinking water.

12.  Respect the property you are on.  Keep it litter free and clean.  The area that includes the house and outbuildings is restricted and not to be investigated.  There will be some sort of barrier put up to remind us of that.

13.  Bring your ?Have fun no matter what the weather is' attitude!

14.  Remember, church service is at Noon (12:00 pm) at Long Lake August 1, not at Kenny Lake Chapel.

15.  Pastor Len or Brenda will let you know if there are any schedule changes due to unforeseen events.
